Cameron reportedly said he did not know where his father was, though his car remained at the home. Responders later found Justin in a bedroom with no pulse. He was described on the radio as an “obvious D.O.A.”

Investigators also said the sequence of events aligned with footage from surveillance cameras installed inside the home.

According to NBC News, Justin and Cerina were in the middle of a contentious divorce, with court records showing the case had reached a decisive stage.

The couple was scheduled to return to court on April 20 for a three-day trial focused on dividing assets. Justin had also been ordered to leave the family home by April 30, according to those records.

The case was being handled in Fairfax County Circuit Court, where Judge Timothy J. McEvoy had awarded custody of the couple’s children to Cerina in the weeks leading up to the scheduled trial.
